How to get to the ACT
There are currently several departure points for flights to Greenland. There are no international ferries.
The following are the most direct routes. Note: Some flights are seasonal and do not operate every day. Please check the schedules at the relevant airline to determine possible flight dates.
If you are coming from abroad
To start in Kangerlussuaq, your flight options are the following:

- Copenhagen -> Nuuk -> Kangerlussuaq (Air Greenland or SAS + Air Greenland)
- Billund -> Nuuk -> Kangerlussuaq (Air Greenland)
- Aalborg -> Nuuk -> Kangerlussuaq (Air Greenland)
- Reykjavik/Keflavik -> Nuuk -> Kangerlussuaq (Air Greenland or IcelandAir + Air Greenland)

If you are already in Greenland
Air Greenland has the following direct flight options:
- Kangerlussuaq: Ilulissat, Sisimiut, Nuuk, and Narsarsuaq
- Sisimiut: Nuuk, Kangerlussuaq, Ilulissat
Please note that Sisimiut and Kangerlussuaq airports do not operate every day, and Air Greenland’s customer support line only operates during the mornings Mon – Sat.
Another option if you are on the west coast of Greenland and want to start in Sisimiut is to catch the Sarfaq Ittuk passenger ferry. It takes just under a day to sail between Nuuk and Sisimiut (northbound) or Ilulissat and Sisimiut (southbound) – overnight trips that call in at a few other ports along the way and are wonderful ways to experience travel in Greenland either before or after your ACT hike.
